Amnesty International Maastricht Students

We are Amnesty International Maastricht Students (AIMS), a studentgroup of the worldwide organization Amnesty International.

AIMS is the most active student organization in the field of political and societal engagement at the University Maastricht. And it is certainly the perfect venue to realize all kind of diverse ideas and initiatives while raising awareness about human rights. You can meet like-minded, committed people, give and get inspiration, and connect the organization of social events with content that makes sense.

What do we do?
We try to increase human right awareness within Maastricht University and Hogeschool Zuyd. We also support actions of Amnesty International in different ways. For more information about our activities, see the "event" section.

Subgroups
In our group, we have several subgroup. Each subgroup has it's own tasks and is working on one or more activities. More information on our present subgroups can be found in the Subgroups-section.

Size of the group
A.I.M.S. has about 200 people on our mailing list and about an average of 50 active members.

New people and new ideas are always welcome! There are plenty
of possibility and support for various actions and plans.

We meet once a month in the University Library downtown.
We start around 7.30 pm and gather in the front (near the locker area).
