What… Raise Awareness!
Appeal as many people as possible in as many ways as possible!
Therefore, we try not only to organise bands and DJs, but also lectures, art exhibitions, artistic and theatre performances, podium discussions, info-actions, signature/photo actions.

Usually we have 4 festivals per academic year. This spring there is a big Open Air Festival planed. But there are actually no limits; maybe somebody would be up to organize just an evening in the Backstage (or any other location) or a Classical Music Concert?

How…

Makes Some Noise…

…against discrimination. This is the theme for the next Human Rights Festival, coming up on Thursday, the 8th of March. This time we are proud to present four bands, of which three are new to Maastricht. Playing first, Big Tennis from Lingen, Germany, will be the opening act for the Festival. Following Big Tennis, State of Sin from Brussels are giving their debut on stage in Maastricht. Successfully taking part in the emergenza competition State of Sin is known to impress with their slow rock tunes. After that we are happy to welcome Très B. again. Having recorded a new album in February they are now looking forward to perform some of their new stuff live in front of a ‘home crowd’ in Maastricht. As a last band we are happy to present Maze, also from Maastricht. With their acoustic/rock music they represent a brilliant finish of the festival.

The night is set, the only thing missing is you, so come on Thursday at 20.00 to the D’n Hiemel and celebrate with us!

AIMS Festival Unplugged

AIMS Festival Unplugged - Some Bands, relaxed evening.

Date: 06.12.2006 @ 7pm
Location: Tramhalte | Damage: €4,50

AIMS goes unplugged...

...this is the theme of the next AIMS event on Wednesday in the Tramhalte on Wednesday the 6th of December. The idea come from the widely known MTV unplugged: Having bands playing in a more exclusive setting with a very close connection to the listeners. The tramhalte gives place to 80 guests and is with its small stage and cosy interior a brilliant venue for 'Amnesty unplugged'. The bands will play acoustic versions of their songs and talk about themselves as a band. One will get the chance to experience Très B., who went with us from the first Human Rights Festival, from a different perspective. De Kelder, three talented guys from Maastricht, will be playing Jazz versions of their songs. An artist that is also new to us, Lenka Li Lilling will give us an impression of her Jazz qualities, singing assisted only by the piano. Finally Coen van Dam and Djamal Adib, who some might know from earlier venues in the Tramhalte will be performing acoustic Jazz. So, for everyone who enjoys a warming night, full of good energies Amnesty unplugged would be perfect. Come and celebrate with us...
